THE STORY OF OUR LOGO...
"I wanted to create a logo that reflected the essence of who I am... my love for all things feathers... my spiritual beliefs... my two favourite colours...blue and brown... my favourite bird here in australia..the kookaburra... my favourite colours when working with gemstones.... I spent many days and nights playing around with different designs to incorporate all of these elements"..... shayote x
Blue in all of its hues is such a peaceful colour....it promotes peace. harmony...aspiration and creative expression and is the symbol of inspiration and infinity..... It is abundant in nature.. in the skies.. waterways.. oceans..plant life...birdlife..stones.. It is the colour associated with the throat chakra which allows us to communicate our feelings. and is directly connected to our inner creativity.
Brown in all of its hues is the colour of mama earth...it is nurturing and is a grounding colour.. it promotes healing.. .stability.. is protective and is great for relationships as it promotes loyalty. This colour is all around us in nature... plant life.. birds..animals..stones..it symbolises regeneration...natural magic.. In alchemy the colour brown is associated with mastery of the beasts.. it is the colour of fur and feathers..wild creatures and companions.. It is associated with the root chakra which establishes your deepest connection with your physical and spiritual body to the earth...
The colours of the logo also hold symbolism for the kookaburra .. a native bird to australia.. this bird is famous for its call at sunrise and sunset. It is a very focused hunter it forms communities which share the same territory....This totem is generally known for its ability to bring laughter and happiness.. it brings the focus necessary to manifest your dreams and goals.. to fire your passions and desires...
The coyote silhouette housed in the 'S' is symbolic of the name 'Shayote' which translates to 'the shadow of the coyote'... it helps to illuminate our shadow selves so that we can laugh. learn and grow...Coyote totem symbolises balance .....illumination ..simplicity and trust.. and are a firm reminder of karma.. what we do to others.. also is returned to us..The coyotes howl connects us to our primal connections.. to the source.. to mama earth....
The feather represents ascension and connection to spirit..native american chiefs would wear feathers to symbolise their connection to spirit..to the elements of air and wind.. the feather was used to send prayers to get spirit.. Druids wore coats made of feathers during ritual to invoke the sky gods and connect to the celestial realms....Aboriginal tribes used feathers in ceremonial objects and body decoration to connect with sacred laws and the spirit or dreaming of time and place...All of these ancient stories have a common thread..that binds them together...to connect us on both the physical and spiritual realms to our life purpose.. our connection to spirit.. our connection to the earth and all of her beauty..
The peace symbol is simply that..an expression of peace for all through the unity of spirit
The stylised infinity symbol that is the 'S' in the logo. is an ancient symbol that represents the endless cycles of life.. continuously flowing in and out from the source..infinity of creation..the balance between male and female..yin and yang.. In magic it represents equilibrium.. balance of the elements.
